| Cancellation policy/Terms & Conditions
Policies are individual to the apartment provider. Here is a preview of the terms and advice for the apartments in this group. Many people ask for early arrival. If your arrival time means that the apartment cannot be let for the previous night, then you will need to pay for the previous night. Closer to the arrival date (eg a few days before), it may be clearer whether the apartment is booked the previous night and whether there is flexibility. However, in many places, you can leave bags early in the day while the apartment is prepared for your later arrival. |

All rates are per apartment per night/week/month (30 nights) as applicable and are subject to Government Value Added Tax (VAT) levied at 17.5% (a lower rate of VAT is applicable after 28 consecutive days of stay*). Stays of 7 nights or more will be charged at the weekly or monthly rate pro rata, as applicable. Longer-term rates are available on request. Unless prior arrangements have been made, a credit card number is required to secure all reservations. Deposits. - For stays of 1-13 nights duration, a credit card number only is required to guarantee a reservation. - For stays of 14 or more nights, a deposit equivalent to 25% of the total cost of the accommodation being reserved is required in order to guarantee. - All confirmation deposits must be received at least 7 days prior to arrival, after which time the apartment provider reserves the right to cancel reservations without notice. - Deposits may be paid by credit card upon receipt of the cardholder’s signed authority and a clearly legible copy of both sides of said card. Where a corporate/company credit card is being used, the copy of the card must be presented on your company headed paper. Payment. Unless prior arrangements have been made, the full payment of the accommodation and tax is due upon arrival along with a security and extras deposit, refundable on departure**. Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer, (cleared funds to be received prior to arrival), cash and the major credit cards. Stays of 30 nights or more will be invoiced/charged in advance to your credit card in periods of 30 nights and then part thereof. In all cases, the apartment provider will provide an invoice for the period charged for your records. Any outstanding incidental charges must be settled upon departure but longer stay guests will be invoiced periodically to ensure their accounts remain in credit. Credit - Payment of invoices is due upon receipt of the invoice, unless 14 days credit has been given. If 14 days credit has been given payment is due within 14 days from the date of invoice. Overdue Accounts Charges: Failure to comply with these credit facilities may result in all credit being withdrawn and all outstanding balances becoming due immediately. Interest will be charged on a daily basis at 8% from 15th day until settlement of the full amount of the invoice, plus any additional administration costs in recovering the debt. Cancellation. - Stays of 1-6 nights: notice of cancellation is required 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid any cancellation fee being levied (maximum 1 night’s accommodation). - Stays of 7-13 nights: notice of cancellation is required 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid any cancellation fee being levied (maximum 3 nights accommodation). - Stays of 14-28 nights: notice of cancellation is required 7 days prior to arrival to avoid any cancellation fee being levied (maximum 7 nights accommodation). - Stays of 28 nights or more: notice of cancellation is required 14 days prior to arrival to avoid any cancellation fee being levied (maximum 14 nights accommodation). - An option held upon an extension to a rental period is subject to the cancellation terms as notified above. Extension. - Stays of 1-6 nights: Notice to extend must be received 24 hours prior to scheduled departure. - Stays of 7-13 nights: Notice to extend must be received 72 hours prior to scheduled departure. - Stays of 14-28 nights: Notice to extend must be received 7 days prior to scheduled departure. - Stays of 28 nights or more: Notice to extend must be received 14 days prior to scheduled departure. In order to accommodate an extension to rental period when already resident, the above notice periods will apply. Extension requests received within the required notice period will be granted subject to availability. Early departure. - Residents staying 1-6 nights will not incur a penalty charge should the apartment be vacated earlier than the date originally intended. - Residents staying 7-13 nights must give 72 hours prior notice if the apartment is to be vacated earlier than the date originally intended, subject to a minimum stay of 7 nights. Residents staying 14 or more nights must give 7 days prior notice if the apartment is to be vacated earlier than the date originally intended, subject to a minimum stay of 14 days. - Longer-term stays will be subject to other minimum stay requirements. Tenancies falling short of such minimum stay requirements will be subject to retrospectively applied accommodation rental surcharges. * After 28 days, lower rate VAT is applied at 3.71% at [the apartment provider's hotel] and at 3.5% at all other locations. ** Stays at their related hotel will incur a security and extras deposit of £20.00 per day of stay, and £10.00 per day of stay is payable at all other locations. Security and extras deposits are refunded on departure, less deductions for any incidental charges incurred. Making a reservation with the apartment provider is confirmation that these Terms & Conditions have been accepted. |
